Information collected on this site

This website does not have contact forms, accounts, logins, or payment processing. We do not ask you to submit personal information anywhere on it.

Two things are collected automatically. Analytics data is gathered by Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, referring site, and how you move between pages. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider as part of normal operation.

If you email us using a link on this site, we receive whatever you choose to put in that email — typically your name, email address, and the details of your enquiry. We use it to reply to you and to discuss work with you.

Cookies and similar technologies

Google Analytics sets cookies (including _ga and _ga_<id>) to distinguish one visitor from another and to measure sessions. These are the only cookies this site sets.

You can block or delete them in your browser settings, or install Google’s official Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking them does not affect how the site works.

Third parties that receive data

Google Analytics (Google LLC) processes the analytics data described above on our behalf.

Google Fonts — this site loads its typefaces from Google’s servers, which means your IP address is transmitted to Google when a page loads. This happens before any cookie is set and is a function of how the fonts are delivered.

Hostinger hosts the site and processes server logs as part of delivering it.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how it is processed. Residents of the EU and UK have these rights under the GDPR; California residents have comparable rights under the CCPA.

Because this site collects so little, in most cases the only information we hold about a visitor is analytics data that is not linked to a name. If you have emailed us, we hold that correspondence.

Retention, changes, and contact

Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured in Google Analytics. Email correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and to meet our record-keeping obligations.
